Biography

J.D. GOLDBERG is a veteran of the Cleveland Music Scene for many years.He has played and recorded music with R/B  legends such as Robert Jr. Lockwood,Mr. stress band as well as many R and B soul bands including Dave C. and the sharptones ,Shout,and for many years has been a member of the popular Cleveland Band the Bottomline (still currently playing gigs with the Bottomline).J.D. has also backed national acts . He has released 2 self titled cd.s as well.He was a school teacher for Cleveland Municipal School District for 31 years and now devotes his full time to writing and recording  music as well as performing throughout Ohio as well as other cities nationally .

Biography

Duncan Crooks is a jazz pianist and composer who has been playing professionally for over 30 years, beginning as a teenager in R&B/Fusion bands in Cleveland, Ohio, and Los Angeles, California.

 

Originally from Cleveland Heights, and a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School, Duncan went on to Capital University in Columbus to study music and arranging. While at Capital, Duncan was the winner of the Diversified Music Publishers Award for “Best College-level Composer.” From there, he moved to Boston to attend the Berklee College of Music where he graduated summa cum laude.

 

Over the years, Duncan has continuously played with the finest jazz musicians and vocalists Northeast Ohio has to offer, in addition to touring with The Glenn Miller Orchestra, and performing with Kenny Burrell, Nick Brignola, and other luminaries.

 

Some of Duncan’s greatest musical influences are The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea, and George Duke. Fellow professional musicians describe Duncan’s talent and style as virtuosic, soulful, sophisticated, and elegant.

 

Presently residing in Canton, Ohio, with his wife and two sons, Duncan is in the process of finishing a CD of his original compositions which is expected to be released in 2017
